Wedderburn Cabins
Delivering on Loddon Shire’s Tourism Vision
“These cabins mark a significant milestone in our journey to boost tourism across the shire—offering comfort, charm, and a welcoming experience for all.”
— Loddon Shire Council

Overview
As part of the Loddon Shire Council’s 2017 master plan to improve regional caravan parks, Fleetwood Australia was engaged to design, manufacture, and install three new modular cabins and a park office at Wedderburn Caravan Park in Victoria.
The cabins each include two bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchenette, a separate living space, bathroom, and veranda—designed to provide comfortable, high-quality stays for short-term visitors. The new park office includes a reception, office/store room, kitchenette, and veranda, supporting improved management and guest service.
Constructed using volumetric modular methods, the cabins and office were built off-site in Bendigo and transported 74km for rapid assembly, with minimal disruption to park operations or the local community.
Solution
Fleetwood’s turnkey solution was designed to maximise comfort, functionality, and long-term performance. The project used prefabricated construction to reduce build time, improve quality, and ensure minimal environmental impact on site.
The cabins and park office were completed using energy-efficient systems and durable materials that reduce maintenance and enhance sustainability. Track matting was used during delivery to protect existing grounds, and zoned heating/cooling systems were installed to further improve energy performance and visitor comfort.
Strong collaboration between Fleetwood, the Council, and project manager RMG ensured the project was delivered safely, on time, and within budget—ready for the start of the next tourism season.
Benefits
The Wedderburn Cabins project directly supports regional tourism by enhancing accommodation options for travellers and families. With inviting, functional cabins and an upgraded office space, the park is now better equipped to attract year-round visitation and support local economic development.
The modular delivery approach enabled rapid installation with limited disruption, maintaining park operations throughout the project. The high-quality materials and energy-efficient systems reduce long-term operating costs while improving the guest experience.
By delivering this project as part of a broader infrastructure upgrade, Fleetwood helped create a long-lasting community asset that blends seamlessly with the natural surrounds and meets the evolving needs of the region.
