Sandringham Primary School – Fire Relief

A devastating fire earlier this year in February at Sandringham Primary School in Melbourne’s south east saw Fleetwood rally around the local community to help the school get back on its feet as fast as possible.

With over 50 per cent of the school’s class areas affected in some way and the fire causing extensive damage to the library, Fleetwood were part of a team supplying and installing a range of portable classroom buildings to make sure students and teachers had a new place to call home for the start of term 2.

With around 500 pupils attending the school, which at 165 years old is one of the state’s oldest primaries, the portables provided had to be located at the Sandringham High School campus as the Primary School campus looks to rebuild its future.

The temporary facilities provided to help rebuild the school (completed in early April) included 13 portables, 2 toilets and a range of site works including concrete walkways and fencing to provide safe and secure access to all buildings for the primary students and teachers.
