Northshore Christian Grammar School Expansion
Overview
7 New Learning Spaces Supporting 224 Students
Northshore Christian Grammar School engaged Fleetwood to deliver Stage 3 of its expanding campus in Alkimos, Western Australia, to support continued enrolment growth and strengthen the school’s specialist STEM learning facilities.
This latest stage builds on two previous modular education projects delivered by Fleetwood on the campus, which provided additional classrooms and learning spaces to support the school’s rapid growth.
The project introduced a new science block alongside additional general learning areas, providing modern learning environments designed to support both practical and theory-based education.
This stage of development includes three specialist science laboratories, a science preparation room, a teacher’s office, four general learning classrooms and a breakout learning space, accommodating up to 224 students across seven classrooms.
Designed to integrate with the school’s existing award-winning architecture, the expansion enhances the campus while supporting a growing student population of more than 1,100 students.
Solution
10 Modular Units Delivered Across Two Staged Installations
Fleetwood delivered a full turnkey modular solution, managing design, approvals, manufacturing, transport and installation.
A total of 10 modular units were fabricated at Fleetwood’s Perth manufacturing facility, then transported to the site and installed in staged phases within the live school environment.
The project was delivered across two key building components:
- Five modules forming four general learning classrooms and a breakout space
- Five modules forming three science laboratories, a preparation room, a teacher’s office and storage
The science block required specialist laboratory infrastructure, including benches, sinks, gas taps with emergency shut-off systems and dedicated preparation areas. These elements were installed and coordinated with specialist contractors to ensure safety and compliance.
Off-site fabrication, combined with efficient on-site installation, enabled Fleetwood to deliver the facilities while minimising disruption to school operations.
