Atlas-Campaspe Workforce Camp

Overview

Fleetwood Australia was contracted by Tronox to create a complete turnkey accommodation village for its Atlas-Campaspe mineral sands operation in central New South Wales. Located two hours northeast of Mildura, this 152-room modular camp was designed to provide a modern and comfortable living environment that supports the well-being and productivity of remote workers.

Delivered during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, this project showcases Fleetwood’s capability to execute complex remote builds on time and with minimal disruption. At the centre of the camp is a custom-designed kitchen and dining area, intended to replicate a high-end restaurant experience.

Solution

This multi-state collaboration brought together Fleetwood teams from South Australia and Western Australia to create a top-tier accommodation facility. Western Australia supplied the suspended concrete slab flooring, while South Australia focused on camp infrastructure and site integration. Key features of the facility include:

• 152 ensuite single-person quarters (SPQs)
• A custom kitchen and dining area with specialised booths, a café-library zone, and LED lighting
• Glyde IoT technology for keyless entry and climate control accessible via smartphone
• A fully equipped gymnasium and laundry facilities
• A first aid room, a wet mess, and an administrative building with an on-site shop
• Integrated concrete and timber walkways for enhanced access and flow
