Overview
Fleetwood was contracted to deliver a full turnkey solution for Our Lady’s Primary School. The project, procured through The Roman Catholic Trusts Corporation for the Diocese of Melbourne, includes the demolition and refurbishment of an existing building, along with a detailed fit-out of general learning spaces and external works.
Designed by B2 Architecture, the project is located in Surrey Hills, Victoria, and spans 13,670 square feet across two storeys, incorporating 33 modules including roof and deck modules. This comprehensive solution expands the school’s capacity with 8 general learning areas, a large multi-purpose room, breakout areas, decking, stairs, lift, and accessible amenities.
Solution
Fleetwood took on the responsibility of demolishing the existing structure, initial site set-up, and off-site prefabrication of the two-story General Learning building. The modular construction seamlessly connects to an existing Science building, showcasing Fleetwood’s expertise in integrated architectural design.
Utilising advanced technologies such as BMI Collaborate Pro for collaboration and the AEC Collection for design authoring, Fleetwood ensured precision in execution. Compliance documentation, including engineering certificates, was meticulously managed to meet regulatory requirements. This approach minimized construction time and disruption to school operations, aligning with Fleetwood’s commitment to delivering high-quality educational facilities.
