4 days install, 1 month for completion
Honourable Mention – MBI Awards 2023

Overview
Fleetwood Australia was contracted by Lloyd Group on behalf of Parks Victoria to deliver a major modular upgrade of the Albert Park Pavilion in Melbourne. This multipurpose facility serves over 40 adult and junior sporting clubs, and it needed to adapt to the changing needs of a growing and diverse community.
The upgraded facility features four female-friendly changing rooms, two umpire changing rooms, a gymnasium, an open-plan community space, a kitchen/kiosk, a first aid room, a covered viewing deck, and a scorer’s room. Designed by Croxon Ramsay, the pavilion enhances accessibility and functionality while promoting increased female participation in sports. Integrated landscaping and connected pathways create seamless access to surrounding park amenities.
Solution
Fleetwood utilised volumetric modular construction to achieve high quality, fast delivery, and minimal disruption. The building was prefabricated off-site and installed in just four days, which helped protect the existing sports grounds and limited the impact on the community.
The pavilion features thermally broken, double-glazed windows, along with zoned and sensor-controlled heating and cooling systems. It also includes acoustic treatments to minimise noise transfer. These features support energy efficiency and operational comfort while reducing long-term costs. Additionally, the flexible layout allows for third-party rentals, contributing to income generation for local clubs.
