Q. What is a transportbale modular home
A. A transportable modular home is a combination of both modular and traditional construction techniques. Essentially your modular home would look no different to a traditional home, and it would be built to the highest quality and at a more affordable cost.
Q. What type of foundation do you use?
A. Our foundation and footings vary on the region and what our engineers specify. We offer concrete and steel frames which can also change the foundation requirements.
Q. What are the benefits of building a modular house vs traditional brick and tile?
A. Modular homes are constructed in a shorter time frame than traditional homes and are built under a more controlled environment which assures the highest quality product. Building modular gives you greater flexibility as they can be transported and installed practically anywhere. The construction process is less likely to be affected by weather conditions due to being manufactured on-site.
Q. Can you deliver anywhere?
A. One of the great things about building a transportable modular home is that they are transportable and it gives you that flexibility to transport the home practically anywhere that is assessable by our delivery trucks, even in the most remote areas of Western Australia.
Q. What is the quality of a modular home?
A. Modular homes, although built differently to a traditional home will still use the highest quality products so you can be assured it will be the same quality to that of in-situ built.
Q. Am I able to customise a design?
A. The benefit of a modular home is it gives you the flexibility to have your home exactly how you would like it.
Q. Will my home meet the new energy efficiency laws?
A. Fleetwood’s homes are compliant to the Australian standards.
Q. I’m ready to start the process. What documentation do I need?
A. You will need to book an appointment with one of our sales team who will advise you of all your required documentation.
Q. Do I need to gain building approval from my shire? Or will you take care of this
A. You will need to gain building approval from your shire. Our sales team will assist throughout this process and with all requirements.
Q. How long does it take to build a modular home?
A. Construction time will usually take between 6-12 weeks, depending on the size and specification of the home.
Q. Will my new home withstand a cyclone?
A. If you are located in a cyclonic region we will build your home to withstand climatic conditions.
Q. Do I get a warranty with my new home?
A. You will receive a six month defect period and a ten year structural warranty.
Q. Can I choose my exterior and interior colours and coverings?
A. Fleetwood offers a standard range and an executive range, as well as customised requirements. Once you begin your design process you will choose the colours and coverings you wish to have in your home and the sales team will ensure these are included in your quote.
Q. Are carports or garages included in your home designs?
A. A carport or garage can be included in the design depending on your requirements. This will need to be discussed with our sales team at the beginning of your enquiry.

Q. Can I remove or relocate a park home or granny flat?
A. Yes our park homes and granny flats provide the flexibility to move or relocate the unit should your requirements change.
Q. Do you offer a flat pack or kit home?
A. No, we do not offer flat pack or kit homes. Fleetwood offers a full turn-key modular home, ready for you to move in, unlike flat pack or kit homes where the responsibility of assembly falls on the owner builder.
Q. How much does a modular house cost?

Q. Do you offer house and land packages?
A. Yes, we work closely with quite a few regional areas such as Kulin, Dalwallinu, Dowerin, Moora and Lancelin. If you would like more information please send an email to email@example.com.
Q. Do you build multi-storey schools?
A. We offer a range of modular designs from single classrooms to full-scale multi-storey builds. Please contact us for further information and pricing.
Q. Do you hire temporary classrooms?
A. Yes, you are welcome to contact Fleetwood in regards to hiring a classroom for your school.
Q. What villages do Fleetwood own and operate?
A. Fleetwood built, owns and operates the Searipple Village in Karratha and also built and operate the Osprey Village in South Hedland.

Q. Do you build commercial products?
A. We offer a range of commercial designs for sectors such as education, government, mining, affordable housing, tourism. Please contact us for further information and pricing.
Q. Do your modular buildings meet code?
A. All our modular buildings meet the BCA.
Q. What is the quality of materials used to build modular structures?
A. Modular structures are built to the same specifications, with the same name brand material as conventional construction: wood grades, plumbing and electrical materials, firewalls, etc. Modular buildings must meet all the same local and state building codes as conventionally constructed buildings. As for interior design, the customer may select the wall and floor coverings, window treatments and all other custom features
Q. How long does the construction take?
A. Construction time varies depending on the scope and scale of the project - certainly much less time than site-built construction. Where conventional construction is a linear process, your modules can be manufactured and prepared for installation at the same time site work is being started.
Q. What are Fleetwood’s building capabilities?
A. Fleetwood manufacture an extensive range of modular buildings for commercial and mixed use industries, including single-room site offices, large complex administration buildings, kitchen and dining facilities, as well as multi-storey buildings, schools, health care facilities and police stations. Q. Do Fleetwood offer complete project management?
A. Fleetwood will always oversee your project from design through to installation, ensuring you are informed and consulted along the way, but can additionally undertake the civil works element of your project at the start as well as any landscaping and site work required at the end.
Q. What is the largest building you offer?
A. There are no limitations to the size of buildings we can offer. Modular building is comprised of multiple chassis, which allows us to offer larger homes, schools, offices, commercial, industrial and mining complexes.
Q. Do you offer second-hand buildings?
A. We have a range of second-hand buildings in stock for sale, lease or hire. Please contact your nearest branch for more information and availability.
Q. Do you have buildings for short term rent or lease?
A. Our portable rental range includes; industrial site offices, crib rooms, mine site accommodation, temporary classrooms, kitchens, ablutions and recreation facilities. Please contact your nearest branch for more information and availability.
Q. What accreditations do you hold?
A. Fleetwood’s safety and environment management system are accredited to AS/NZS 4801. Our quality management system is regularly reviewed and certified to AS/NZS ISO 9001.
